Mary Lou Denham, 77 of Centralia, Mo., passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Heritage Hall Nursing Center, Centralia.
Mary Lou was born May 11, 1936 in Audrain County, Mo., the daughter of Paul and Darlene Hogan Day.
On May 28, 1954 she was married in Mexico, Mo. to William A. Denham and he survives.
Other survivors include three children, William Steve Denham and wife, Carla, Farmington, Ark., James Roland Denham, Thompson, and Teresa Lynn Brechler and husband, Jeff, Hallsville, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Janie Maxwell and husband, Jerry, Paul R. Day and wife, Jackie, Walter Roland Day and wife, Esther, all of Mexico, and Christie Nelson and husband, Fred, Centralia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a graduate of Mexico High School and was a member of First Baptist Church, Centralia, where she taught Sunday school in the nursery for several years.
Mary Lou was a devoted homemaker and loving family member. She loved to fish, camp and travel. Her spiritual guidance was Psalm 46:11 "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Fenton Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Jed Angell, Pastor, Friendship Christian Church, Centralia. Interment will be Centralia Cemetery, Centralia. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Fenton Funeral Chapel.
The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church or Heritage Hall Nursing Center.
