  • Officers arrest four on drug charges

  • On Wednesday afternoon, the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Audrain County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant in the 25000 block of Audrain Road 844. As a result of the search, officers arrested three suspects, seized methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, Diazepam, Alprazolam marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a brass knuckles and .22 caliber rifle.
    Arrested were: William Wayne Ferrell III, 23, of Mexico for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of Diazepam, possession of Alprazolam, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful use of a weapon. Ferrell's bond is set at $42,000.
    Jena Leah Duncan, 21, of Mexico for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of Diazepam, possession of Alprazolam, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Duncan's bond is set at $42,000.
    Devin Earl Ferrell, 20, of Mexico for possession of drug paraphernalia. Ferrell posted a $1,000 bond.
    On Wednesday evening, the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mexico Public Safety Department, and The Audrain County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant in the 1600 block of South Clark Street in the city of Mexico. As a result of the search warrants, officers arrested one suspect and seized methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, a methamphetamine lab, chemical precursors used in the production of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
    Arrested was Allen Maxwell Vestal, 32, of Mexico for distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of chemical precursors used in the production of methamphetamine, and endangering the welfare of a child. Vestal's bond is set at $71,000.
    The East Central Drug Task Force was organized in 2001 and serves the cities of Bowling Green, Mexico, Montgomery City, and Vandalia, the counties of Audrain, Montgomery and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
