Patricia Jane Nagel, 63, of Auxvasse, died Monday morning at Audrain Medical Center.
She was born March 5, 1950 in South Gate, California to the late William and Celia McAffrey. She graduated from St. Matthias Catholic Girls High School in 1968. In 1980, she moved to Mexico, MO.
After moving to Mexico, Pat worked for several years at A.P. Green Refractory where she worked with and made some wonderful friends. After working for A.P. Green, she entered the banking industry. She spent most of her career working for Martinsburg Bank and Trust. She loved her co-workers and working with customers at the bank – many who enjoyed having her help them. She was loved by all that knew her.
On March 12, 1989 she married the love of her life, Darrell Nagel. In 1994, they moved to a small place in the country in Auxvasse, MO where they reside to this day. Pat loved her quiet home in the country and preferred to spend her days there, caring for her dogs, BJ and Lucy. She and Darrell enjoyed growing in their faith, singing, and reading the Bible together. She was an active member in their church, New Testament Christian Church.
Pat is survived by two children: Erica (Shadwell) Borcherding and her husband, Aaron; Charles Nagel and his wife, Jessica. She is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren that she adored: Erica's daughters, Lauren, Erin, and Rhiannon; Charles' children Jacob and Elise.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, June 26 at New Testament Christian Church in Auxvasse. Visitation will be from 5-7pm with the service beginning at 7.
