  • HANNIBAL - The following is a list of general highway construction and maintenance scheduled for July 8-19 for all counties in MoDOT's northeast district. This work will include lane closures and at times delays can be expected. All work is weather dependent and could be delayed or rescheduled. Crews will be working during daylight work hours unless otherwise indicated. Various forms of traffic control such as flaggers, portable traffic signals, cautionary signs, and protective trucks will be in place to secure the safety of the motoring public as well as the safety of highway crews.
 With the exception of some short-term maintenance work on various low traffic volume roads, all roadwork is posted on the traveler information map daily. Motorists are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org for new work zones each day. MoDOT also offers messages sent directly to your email when roadwork is scheduled.  Maintenance

    US 54 - July 8 one lane traffic 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. for ditch work 2 miles south of Laddonia 

    Route PP - July 10 one lane traffic 1-5 p.m. for pavement repairs from MO 54 to Route P 

    Various Routes -July 8-19 possible intermittent lane closures or slow moving vehicles blocking driving lane for surface and/or roadside maintenance operations in various locations.
    

Monroe County 
Construction

    MO 15 - Resurfacing and shoulder work from just south of US 36 at Shelbina to MO 154 north junction at Paris, 18 miles; 90% complete - placing striping and pavement markings and pulling up shoulders from Paris to Shelbina. This is a moving operation regulated by an attenuator truck, motorists should pass with care.

    MO 154 - Preventative maintenance on Mark Twain Lake bridges over Elk Fork Salt River and South Fork Salt River. Work involves substructure repairs and modifications, expansion joint replacement, removal and replacement of asphalt surface and upgrading the existing guardrail. Bridge will be closed for 20-30 days once the structural work begins with some lane closures for surface work. Full bridge closures will not take place between Memorial Day and Labor Day due to tourism and recreational use of the lake. 6% complete - intermittent periods of 24 hour lane closures during replacement/jacking operations; Estimated Completion: Fall 2013

 Construction
    MO 161 - Resurfacing from Route M to MO 19 north junction in Montgomery City, 17.75 miles; 0% complete - Project inactive, Work tentatively scheduled to begin mid-July; one lane traffic with pilot car in use while work is performed; Estimated Completion: Summer 2013; Troy Project Office
Route AA - ADA sidewalk improvements from West St. to south of Polar St. near school in Wellsville; inactive; scheduled to begin week of July 15.
Maintenance
Route PP - July 8 road closed 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. for pavement repairs on entire route
Route NN - July 11 road closed 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pavement repairs from Pin Oak Church Road at the beginning of State Maintenance to I-70.
