Jennie Lorene (Waddill) Spurling, 95, of Centralia, Mo., entered into rest July 25, 2013 at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico, Mo.
Jennie was born Dec. 27, 1917 in Kirksville, Mo., the daughter of Luther M. and Mary Cornell Waddill.
On Sept. 21, 1935 she was married in Kirksville to Willard Leo Spurling. He was a retired Christian minister and preceded her in death July 21, 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Anne Spurling Hampton and husband, Don, Thompson, Mo.; Rita Spurling Carter and husband, Ed, Westmont, Ill.; three grandchildren, Donna Hampton Zerger and husband, Scott, Centralia; Bryan Leo Hampton and wife, Charlotte, St. Peters, Mo.; Stanley Keith Hampton and wife, Michelle, Florissant; four great-grandchildren, Bryanna Hampton, Chesterfield; Jenalyn Hampton, St. Peters; Matthew Hampton and Zachary Hampton, both of Florissant.
She was a graduate of Kirksville High School, Kirksville.
Mrs. Spurling was an active and participant member of Parkview Christian Church, Centralia.
As the precious wife of a minister she was loving and caring and gave spiritual guidance to those dear to her family, church members, neighbors and friends, also a devoted homemaker.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at Parkview Christian Church, Centralia. Officiating will be Lon Hardy, Pastor, Parkview Christian Church, Centralia. Interment will be at Centralia Cemetery, Centralia. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening, July 27, at Fenton Funeral Chapel, Centralia.
