Emil B. "Fritz" Feutz died September 1 at his home in Columbia, Mo. A private graveside service was held September 3 at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico, Mo. He was born July 1, 1923, the son of Wallace and Lelah Feutz of Mexico. He was a graduate of MMA and the University of Missouri.
Mr. Feutz achieved his life-long ambition to be a test pilot, testing newly developed aircraft for Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, KS, and McDonnell Air craft in St. Louis, Mo. He subsequently established his own firm, Testair, Inc. in St. Louis.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Estep Feutz, he is survived by four children, Sheryl Feutz-Harter of Plattsburg, Mo., Wally Feutz (wife Cindy) of Mexico, Connie Feutz (husband Paul) of Bellingham, WA, and Eric Feutz (wife Grace) of Fayette, Mo., eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will welcome friends of Mr. Feutz from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Friday at their farm home.
Memorials may be made to the E.B. Feutz MMA Scholarship Fund or to a local hospice of their choice.
