Eva Helen Wisdom, 86, of Centralia, Mo. passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Moore-Pike Nursing Facility in Bowling Green, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at Fenton Funeral Chapel, Centralia, Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Lon Hardy, Pastor, Parkview Christian Church, Centralia. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Centralia. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Fenton Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Randy Welch, Harlan Spurling, Scott Spurling, David Wade, Dean Wade and Richard Moore.
The family suggests memorials to Parkview Christian Church, Centralia, or Pike County Health Department Home and Hospice, 1 Healthcare Place, Bowling Green, Mo. 63334.
Helen was born Sept. 18, 1926, the daughter of Everett and Ruth (Noel) Gilmore. They preceded her in death, also, three brothers, Charlie, Howard and Fred Gilmore and one sister Goldie George.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Linda Wisdom, Columbia and Joyce Burris, Bowling Green, also several nieces and nephews.
Helen was a graduate of Centralia High School. She spent years working in the home, babysitting, sewing and gardening, her specialties during that time. In 1986 she was employed by Shield of Shelter Insurance Home Office in Columbia, Mo. and retired in 1993.
She spent most of her life as a member of First Baptist Church, Centralia, and later attended Parkview Christian Church.
