Jewell Secrease, 85 of Mexico, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at Kings Daughters Home.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Burial followed at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation was Sunday from 2-4 at the funeral home.
Jewell was born on Oct. 1, 1927 in Curryville, MO, the daughter of Joseph and Wilda (Berrey) Cleeton. She married Clinton Secrease on May 13, 1950 in Mexico.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, ladies of Bethel Church, Hisey Hoppers 4-H Club and was a long time employee of Coldwell Nursing Home and the Audrain County Health Unit. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery and working with flowers. She especially enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Clinton, she is survived by three sons, Joe & Teresa Secrease of Thompson, Ray and Angie Secrease of Mexico, Bill and Connie Secrease of Mexico; two daughters Wilda Secrease and Dennis Long of Armstrong and Mae and Bill Fennewald of Martinsburg; grandchildren, Beth and Josh Feger, Tom and Sarah Secrease, Sarah Secrease, Jessica Woods and Tim Gruer, Kaitlyn Woods and Mike Jessie, Brian Fennewald, Lauren and Chris Patterson, Mark and Melissa Winterbower, Mariko Winterbower and Alan Jackson; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Drew Feger, Emma Secrease, Brianna Hart, and Lexi Winterbower. She is also survived by a brother Kenneth Cleeton of Montgomery City and four sisters, Ethel Faye Wilkerson of Farber, Stella Sanders of Denver, CO, Bonnie Garver of Denver, CO, and Hazel Wieberg of San Diego, CA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kristy Secrease and a brother Francis Cleeton.
