Threatens bus driver and students
At approximately 8:08 a.m. today, Mexico Public Schools contacted Mexico Public Safety concerning a student who had threatened a bus driver and the other students on a bus while wearing a mask. The student, Michael Markwell, 18, of Mexico was arrested for making a terroristic threat.
According to a release from MPSD, Markwell indicated that he was joking when he made the threat. Investigation has not revealed any evidence that he intended to act on the threat or that anyone was in immediate danger.
Citizens are reminded that people arrested/charged with a crime are simply accused of the crime and are to be considered innocent until proven guilty.
