Eighth grade earns team's first win
Eighth grade volleyball beat Centralia 25-16, 25-16 Thursday night, earning the team's first win of the season.
"These girls came prepared to beat Centralia tonight, and that they did," head coach Amy Boedeker said. "Everyone contributed to the win tonight."
Alexis Landrum had seven consecutive serves to keep Mexico ahead the second game while recording a total of five kills.
The seventh graders remained undefeated, taking the Panthers down in three games 25-8, 23-25, 25-14.
"The girls came out ready to play, it was really exciting to see them have fun out on the court and utilize their communication skills to pull out another win," Boedeker said. MMS volleyball returns to the court when they travel to the Boonville Tournament Saturday.
