  • Thunderbirds stay perfect in 10-0 win over Wildcats

  • North Callaway softball improved to 13-0 (6-0 EMO) Wednesday, beating the Wildcats of Montgomery County 10-0 in six innings. The Wildcats moved to 8-6 (3-4) with the loss.
    The Thunderbirds scored two runs in the second, two in the third, three in the fifth and three in the sixth to put the game out of reach for the Wildcats. Jaida Gray pitched her third shutout of the season, allowing one walk and one hit while recording thirteen strikeouts.
    Maddie Sorrell was 4-4 with two doubles, one RBI and three runs scored. Kasey Huddleston was 2-4 with a double and a triple while hitting one RBI and scoring twice. Maddie Ausfahl went 2-3 with two RBIs and one run while Bailey Boorman was 2-4 with one run scored.
    North Callaway has the chance to guarantee at least a portion of the conference championship tonight, when the team hosts the Van-Far Indians. The team will honor seniors at this game.
