  • Mexico Middle School football hosted the Hannibal Pirates in a pair of games for the seventh and eighth grade B-teams Saturday at Hawthorne Heights.
The eighth graders were able to continue their previous success this season, beating the Pirates 30-20.
"I'm very happy with the way the team played," coach David Okenfuss said. "We were down by eight point in the first quarter but battled back. The offensive and defensive lines excelled as well."
