Graf & Sons will be honored at the 29th annual Commerce and Industry Appreciation Dinner, Oct. 29.
Known worldwide as "The Reloading Authority" Graf & Sons has been providing reloading products and accessories to shooting sports enthusiasts since 1957. The business was started by Arnold Graf and two young sons, Howard and Bob. The business has expanded from a small town, three-man operation to approximately 60 full-time, temporary and part-time workers.
The business was started in the same location as the business is currently located today. Graf & Sons was originally a small retail store that sold fishing and hunting supplies, including boats and motors and a gas station. Over time the fishing, boats and motors were discontinued and products for the shooting sports industry expanded.
The business has remained in the family. In 1980 Howard Graf retired and Bob and Marjorie Grafbecame the owners. Business expanded and Grafs became known as "The Reloading Authority."
Mexico, Missouri is a very central location which enables them to ship any direction, coast to coast and internationally.
The new facility with the help of the City of Mexico Industrial Development Revenue Bond was a major improvement for Graf & Sons. It made it possible for all business to be conducted under one roof. Grafs Reloading Supercenter retail store is a 5,000 square foot facility located in the front section of the distribution center.
The Distribution Center includes a phone center, order department, packaging, shipping, purchasing and accounting department with aisles of shelving with inventory. The Distribution and Customer Service Center provides services for international, mail order, dealer and internet orders at www.grafs.com. Grafs currently has two covered loading docks and they are contemplating the addition of another one.
Business has been nationwide. The constant growth enabled the company to continually improve service to the community and customers throughout the world which includes importing and exporting to more than 15 countries. Graf's number one goal is customer service and satisfaction.
