Richard F. Cuno, age 89, of Chamois, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
Richard was born March 10, 1924, in Jonesburg, a son to the late Richard William and Alice Arlene (Cheney) Cuno.
Richard served in the United States Army during World War II. Richard worked on the railroad with his brother-in-law, worked at the shoe factory in Fulton along with the brick plant in Mexico.
Richard enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, quilting with his daughter, fishing, listening to old time country music, and anything to do with World War II, especially the military channel. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by: a son, Danny L. Cuno, Sr. and his wife Violet Marie of Mexico; a daughter, Karen Sue Wolfe and her husband John Wayne of Chamois; six grandchildren, William Keith Butler, Tricia Lee McDonald and her husband Randy, Danny Lee Cuno, Jr. and his wife Ellie, Debbie Marie McDonald and her husband Chad, Samantha Lynn Seeley and Courtney Dawn Seeley; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Cuno of Rush Hill; one sister, Madeline Hoover of Fulton.
Richard was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Lynn Cuno, grandson, Jason Michael Wolfe; one brother, William Cuno; three sisters, Marie Jaspering, Anna Hoelscher, and Ada Long.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Morton Chapel in Chamois.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Morton Chapel in Chamois with Raymond Iman officiating. Interment will follow in Ferguson Cemetery near Chamois with full military honors.
