  • Milan rolled up 470 yards of total offense in a dominant effort Wednesday night, romping past archrival Putnam County in a 52-0 district semifinal victory at Cal Hubbard Field.
The Wildcats will host Marceline in a Class 1 district championship game Monday night.
Aaron Richardson rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns, and Kevin DeRyke rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown to lead the Milan ground attack. Quarterback Ryan Keuhn also connected on two touchdown passes of 30 and 19 yards to Tristan Fowler and Matt Oxendale, respectively.
Milan also received a bonus from its special teams. Fowler returned a punt 55 yards for a first-quarter touchdown, and Bodie Eaglen forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff that the Wildcat offense cashed in for a score.
Eaglen also led a stout Milan defense with 10 tackles. The Wildcats surrendered only one first down and allowed just 27 yards of offense to Putnam County.
