A water main break occurred Saturday at the post office with water covering Muldrow Street. Above, a vehicle splashes water as it drives through the water. Below shows the break. According to Patrick Kelly, operations superintendent, of Missouri-American Water Company, the break was one of many miles of main that run through the city. It was one of the larger lines, being 10 inches in diameter, but it wasn't anymore important than any other line. All of the lines are important said Kelly. The water was turned off during the repair. The actual repair was less than an hour, though the crew had to wait for Missouri One Call to arrive on location for up to four hours before they could begin to dig.
