  • North Callaway boys lost to Hallsville 67-60 Tuesday in the opening round of the Centralia Tournament.
    The Thunderbirds used a 26 point second quarter to lead the Indians 32-24 at half, but the Indians rallied during the fourth quarter to outscore the Thunderbirds 28-15 and walk away with the win.
    "I'm very proud of the team and the way they improved in such a short amount of time," North Callaway coach Tim Turlington said. "If we keep improving, we'll win these games by ten points by the end of the year."
    Miguel Hudson was the Thunderbirds' leading scorer. Hudson scored 12 points and recorded seven rebounds. Justin Menard and Brett Metcalf had 11 points each.
    Thunderbirds' boys basketball returns to the court Thursday against Boonville in the Centralia Tournament.
