Several Bulldogs had individual victories
The Mexico Middle School Wrestling team hosted the Missouri Military Academy, Jefferson City's Lewis and Clark Middle School and Columbia's Thomas Jefferson Middle School Tuesday in a four-team quad. Although no team scores were kept, several Bulldogs came away with individual victories.
"I thought the boys looked pretty good tonight," Mexico coach Tony Senor said. "They are starting to peak at the right time at the end of the season."
Dylan Patton, Vinny Vitale, Wyatt Turner, Steven Johnson and Jaeden Potterbaum each went 2-0 of the night. Devin Logerman was 2-1.
"My eighth grade wrestlers are starting to step up as leaders and my seventh grade boys are working hard to take their places when they move up to the high school level," Senor said. "I am proud of everyone and how far we have come together as a team."
The Bulldogs will return to the mats Thursday when they host the Mexico Invitational Tournament at Mexico High School.
