Lewis Richard Evans, 79 of Mexico died Friday July 11, 2014 at the University Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Arnold Funeral Home with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Lewis Richard was born on February 9, 1935 in Fulton, the son of Edward Glenn and Arline (Fishburn) Evans. On October 19, 1975, Lewis Richard married Jackie Williams in Arkansas, and she survives of the home.
Along with his wife Jackie, he is survived by two sons, Amos Joseph Bourgeois (Karie) of Valley Park, MO, and Rowdy Cannon (Lisa) of Mexico; grandchildren, Sophia Bourgeois, Caila Bourgeois, both of Valley Park, and Cody Cannon of Mexico; brother, Edward Evans of California; favorite niece, Linda Landry (Ricky) and family of Louisiana.
Along with his parents, Lewis Richard was preceded in death by a brother, John Evans.
He retired from the City of Mexico Waste Water Plant after 22 years of service.
Lewis Richard loved hunting, fishing, football, and yard work. He really loved his yard.
