Billie JoAnn Painter, 73, of Holts Summit, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at her home. She was born September 8, 1940 in Mexico, Missouri a daughter of Russell and Mildred (Bickel) Harper. On December 7, 1955 she was united in marriage to Herbert Donald Painter who preceded her in death.
Billie was a member of the Capital West Christian Church in Jefferson City. She enjoyed yard sales and any type of shopping. She liked to travel, fish, and keep her flowers and trees looking beautiful.
Billie is survived by her four children: Robert Painter (Deborah), Rickie Painter (Tiffani), Brenda Hays, and Shara Shiverdecker; two sisters: Doris Farris, and Carolyn Zumsteg; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: Donald Harper.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2013 at Capital West Christian Church in Jefferson City with Rev. Ken Harland officiating. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Mexico, MO. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Painter family.
