Lady Bulldogs enjoy softball summer camp.

The bats were cracking, balls were flying and base runners were trying to turn singles into doubles, which often led to slide practice as well.
Yes, it was hot, muggy hot, but they didn’t care; they were playing softball.
Thirty-seven Lady Bulldogs softball players took part in the camp held at Gallop Field July 21-24.
The camp gave Lady Bulldogs softball Head Coach Keith Louder the opportunity to work closley with both high school and middle school players during the four day camp.
“This gives us the chance to work on fundamentals,” said Louder. “It’s great to have so many out for the camp and it’s great to see so many younger players.”
The high school team will start official fall practices Aug. 4 with its first home game Aug. 25 against conference foe Hannibal. First pitch for that game is set for 5 p.m.
