Barbara Lou Settle, 81, of Mexico, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Golden Living Center – Pin Oaks.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Arnold Funeral Home. Visitation is from noon until time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Barbara was born Oct. 5, 1932 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Marion and Beatrice (Taylor) Seabold. On March 27, 1954 in Quincy, Illinois, she married George C. Settle.
Mrs. Settle was a Registered Nurse at Audrain Medical Center for over 30 years. She loved seeing her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and going to Branson. Barbara enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, Kansas City Chiefs football and Mizzou sports.
Survivors include her husband, George Settle of the home; two daughters, Toni (J.R.) Stotts of Powers Lake, Wisconsin and Rena Eastin of Blackburn, Missouri; one son, Steve (Robbyn) Settle of Mexico; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Kenny Seabold; and one sister, Ruth Ekle.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or to the donor’s choice. All may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
