As their season reaches a climax this month, Mexico Youth Wrestling Club members played host last Saturday to the Missouri USA Kids Wrestling League District 7 tournament at the Mexico High School sports complex, advancing 23 matmen to this Saturday’s regional meet in Imperial. Mexico qualifiers and their places at district follow below; the top six finishers in each age/weight division made the cut and will need to place in the top four to advance to state March 26-27 in Columbia.

Firsts: Kellen Ekern, Brit Wilson, Ethan Leighton, Karsten Ekern, Payton Turner, John Lummis, Jordan Jones. Seconds: Zachary Neumann, Steven Johnson, Sam Fayad, Spencer Freeman. Thirds: Carter Maxwell, Alex Bellamy, Porter Goodman. Fourths: Breckin Whitaker, Hale Fuemmeler, Dylan Patton, Anthony Brower. Fifths: Sheldyn Johnson, Austin Kelsay. Sixths: Dillon Nichols, Keyon Mahaney, Hunter Smith, Ethan Musgrove.
