The Mexico School District Board of Directors announce the selection of Zachary Templeton, Ed.D. as the districts superintendent beginning July 1.

'Dr. Templeton has held the assistant superintendent position for the past five years. He has been a great addition to the Mexico community and to the school district. We are confident, as superintendent, he will continue to lead Mexico #59 to be one of the best school districts in Missouri. The school board wants the best education possible for our students. We know that Dr. Templeton has that same passion for our students' success," states Peter Perll, president of the Mexico 59 Board of Education.

Dr. Templeton replaces Superintendent Kevin Freeman, who is retiring from the Mexico School District and taking a job with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
