The Missouri Military Academy varsity basketball team matched host Harrisburg shot for shot last Friday to the point the first quarter ended tied at 18-18.

That's when the tide turned and Harrisburg outscored the Fighting Colonel's 31-20 in the second to go up 51-38 at halftime on their way to winning 95-79. While MMA did manage to claim the fourth 27-20, that wasn't until Harrisburg posted a 26-14 offensive advantage in the third to extend its leads at the time to 77-51.

Going 2-for-5 from the three-point line and 1-for-1 from the free throw line to score a team-high 31 points with five rebounds, three assists and three steals was Rob Shields and Bayern-Erdine Oldckbayar had 21 points, four boards, four assists and three steals. Pedro DaRocha also came through with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals, Gabriel Penha added seven points, six boards, two assists and two steals and scoring two each were Victor Leon and Sean Fitzgerald.

For the game the Colonel's charted 348 rebounds, 15 assists, 12 steals and four blocks. The squad also connected on 32-of-68 field goals, including 11-of-23 from three-point territory, and 4-of-6 free throws.
