Glenda J. Duckworth, 77, of Mexico, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at SSM St. Mary’s Audrain Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 1:30PM Sunday at Arnold Funeral Home with burial to follow in Elwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Glenda was born on January 21, 1940 in Mexico the daughter of Dennis “Buck” and Marie (Roberts) Tate.

On June 5, 1960, Glenda married Walter Duckworth in Wellsville, and he survives.

Along with her husband, Walter, Glenda is survived her daughters, Robin Kleinsorge (Mike) of Mexico, Melissa Shoemaker (Roy) of Mexico, Tina Early (Chris) of Auxvasse; grandchildren, Michael Kleinsorge (Justine) of Mexico, Dustin Shoemaker (Amanda) of Illinois, Trenton and Tyler Early of Auxvasse; great-grandchildren, Aurora and Donavon Kleinsorge, Lincoln Shoemaker.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Delores Tate.

Glenda was a devoted wife and mother, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Glenda enjoyed watching western movies and basketball on television. She also really enjoyed shopping.

Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson Mexico, MO 65265.
