At the Richmond High School varsity wrestling tournament on Saturday, Dylan Patton was first for Mexico at 120 lbs. by pinning Excelsior Springs Paxton Mullikan in 1:53 at 120 in round two.

Patton also won by fall in round one over Richmond's Logan Claypole in 4:36 and Chillicothe's Zackary Boyles in 3:49 in round three.

Dillon Nichols finished in first at 138 for the Bulldogs, as well, pinning Winnetonka's Khayman Tatum in round five in :29 and in round one he stuck ES's Trey Potter in 1:41. Between those bouts Nichols beat Holden's Solomon Tevis 6-1 in round two, Chillicothe's Bryce Larson by technical fall 18-3 and Buffalo's Marcus Autrey by major decision 16-6.

For Kellen Ekern at 160, winning his weight class for Mexico began with a bye and a victory over Holden's Jack Sullins in 4:00. He then bested ES's Dylan Young by technical fall 16-1, Buffalo's Floyd Miller 7-2 and Chillicothe's Dean Adkins 3-1.

Terrese Aaron's heavyweight title came when he edged out Buffalo's Shane Sisco 3-2 and Chillicothe's Keegan Valdez in injury time. Prior to that Aaron also ran over and through Richmond's Diaz Elliot in 1:50 in round one, Winnetonka's Melvin Robert in :36 in round three and Holden's Isaac Hill 7-1.

The Bulldogs Brit Wilson also claimed a championship at 170 by pinning Buffalo's Austin Reid in 1:20, Richmond's Triston Battagler in 1:07 in round one and Chillicothe's Isaac Washburn in :54 in round two. Wilson then won by fall in round three against Holden's Derek Tillotson in :43 and Richmond's Dominic Nobile in 1:28.

Taking second at 195 for the Bulldogs was Cameron Fox with wins against Buffalo's Blake Williamson in 3:18, Winnetonka's Eric Frazier in :28 in round one and Chillicothe's Erek Brose in 1:02 in round two.

Wyatt Turner was also the runner-up at 220 for Mexico, Jakob Brdley as third at 182, and Brayan Juarez was fourth at 113. Clint Allen also competed for Mexico at 113 and placed fifth, Blayne Weiberg at 132 as fifth, Vinny Vitale was seventh at 145 and Pablo Vaquez came in eighth at 152.
