Memorial service for Nancy Sue Hatfield Jenkins, 73, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Mexico, was held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler.
Mrs. Jenkins passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
She was born March 11, 1944, in Rush Hill, Missouri, to Glenn R. and Ruby Belle Hatfield.
Nancy graduated from Community R-6 High School in Laddonia, Missouri. She retired in 2001 after 31 years of employment with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 25 years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Reba Hopke and Donna Corwin, and two grandchildren, Candra Elizabeth Jenkins and Jonathan Isaiah Jenkins.
She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 53 years, Lloyd N. Jenkins; three daughters, Sharon Durden of Carrollton, Texas, Susan Oliver and husband Billy of Firestone, Colorado, and Kathy Jenkins of Tyler, Texas, and one son, Mark Jenkins and wife Camille of Longview, Texas; five grandchildren Ryan Whitehurst, Joshua Jenkins, Kelsey Durden, Drew Whitehurst, and Andrea Jenkins; brothers and sisters, Glenn (Annette) Hatfield, Billy (Betty) Hatfield, Doris Brown, Don (Carolyn) Hatfield, Lois (Gene) Cloven, Mary Lou (Ted) Hoyt, and Alice (Mike) Spurlock; sisters-in-law, Hazel Roberts and Debbie Jenkins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was on Monday, April 17, 2017, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
If desired, memorials may be made to Green Acres Baptist Church Children's Ministry or the American Heart Association.
