On Wednesday at approximately 8:22 p.m., Mexico Public Safety responded to the 1100 block of Mansfield in reference to a gunshot being fired.
Investigation by Mexico Public Safety personnel revealed that a gun had been fired at least one time in the area.
According to a report from MPS, alert citizens gave a description of a suspected vehicle and officers found a similar vehicle parked, and unattended nearby.
This incident is still under investigation and at this time pubic safety personnel said there is no indication it is linked to the gunshots being fired on Kent Road on April 16.
There were no injuries or property damage from this event.
