Competing along side the STL Knuckleheads, Mexico varsity wrestlers Kellen Ekern and Terrese Aaron took the mat for day one of the American Athletic Union Duals 2017 District All-Stars on Monday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimee, Fl.

What made this event different for Ekern was competing in different weight classes on the same day, which featured wins at 170 lbs. against Noah Reynolds of Team SC Relentless by fall in 3:21 and South Florida Thunder's Nicholas Benton by technical fall 17-2. The current Bulldogs also earned an 18-3 technical fall over Nebraska Black's Zeth Gekensmeyer.

Somehow Aaron managed to shine just as bright by going 5-0 for the day at 285. This included wins by pin against South Florida Thunder's Curtis Ruff in :33, Nebraska Black's Derrell Zaguski in :49 and Contender Elite Legend's Owen Verespy in 1:06. Aaron defeated Team SC Relentless's John Manos 9-6 after drawing a win by forfeit at 160, as well.

Both of these wrestlers compete at this Disney Resort once again on Thursday. Ekern will also participate at the Junior Duals and in July Brit Wilson, Dillon Nichols, Kevin Duong and Ekern are heading to Fargo, ND.
