Miss Missouri contestants arrived at the Missouri Military Academy Sunday to begin a week of rehearsals, appearances and most importantly competing for the title of Miss Missouri 2017.

Competition begins Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Missouri Military Academy Gymtorium. Preliminary competition will continue Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. Saturday's pageant will begin at 7 p.m. Thirty young women will be competition for the title.

Emcees for the pageant will be Erin Engelmeyer and Jim Dye, Wednesday; Erin Engelmeyer, Thursday; and Abby Eden, Friday and Saturday.

Entertainment will be provided by Miss Missouri 2016 Erin O'Flaherty, Christina Stratton, Miss Missouri's Outstanding Teen 2016; Taylor Wiebers, Miss Iowa 215, vocalist; and Kyle Sherman, New York City, New York, vocalist.

Twenty-five contestants will be competing for Miss Missouri's Outstanding Teen. Emcees for Thursday morning's preliminary will be Stratton and O'Flaherty.

Mexico's own Sarah Kasubke, 16, will be competing in the teen pageant at Miss Audrain's Outstanding Teen.

Miss Missouri's Outstanding 2017 will be crowned Friday night; and Miss Missouri 2017 will be crowned Saturday night.
