Mexico residents will soon have the opportunity to play pickleball outside when two new pickleball courts are completed at Fairground Park.

After a 30 day curing process, the post-tension concrete will be painted and ready for use by the end of July according to Sally Stuart, a member of the Audrain Tennis Association.

The pickleball courts are the final phase of the association's four-year Netplex project which has been funded by local grants, clubs, businesses and individuals.

At a later date, Mexico’s Park and Recreation Department will work with local pickleball players to host a workshop to teach those interested in learning the game.
