At approximately 10:40 p.m., Thursday, Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 1000 block of West Street in reference to a burglary which had just occurred. Responding personnel learned there were several people in a home on that block when someone knocked on the front door.

One of the residents opened the door and three males pushed past the resident and came inside. Two of the suspects had guns. Another resident began fighting the suspects near the front door and the suspects ran from the scene.

According to the MPSD report, nothing was stolen and the resident who fought the suspects had only a minor injury. The resident did not desire medical treatment and there were no other injuries.

The suspects were described as black males in their late teens or early 20s wearing dark clothing and having their faces partially covered.
