On the second of two days

Once the action is complete on July 20th, the Mexico and Centralia high school volleyball programs will return to the Licking Camp in Camdenton on July 21. For the Lady Bulldogs scrimmages begin at 8:40 a.m. against East Buchanan at Camdenton High School No. 4 and at 11:20 a.m. they face Osage at

Camdenton H.S. No. 3.

Mexico is also bringing a second squad that begins competing at Camdenton H.S. No. 3 against Adrian II at 8:40 a.m. and at 10:40 a.m. they face Osage II at Camdenton H.S. No. 4.

Centralia, on the other hand, faces Boonville at Oak Ridge Intermediate No. 2 at 8:40 a.m. The event then comes to a close with a tournament that begins at 12:40 p.m.


Catch it before it's gone

The Montgomery County Fair will have a Lawn Mower and School Bus Derby on July 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Grandstands that will feature a Kids Power Wheels Derby during intermission. This comes after the Watermelon and Seed Spitting Contest and the Greased Pig Contests in the Youth Arena t 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively, but before concerts by Danika Portz, Josh Gracin and classic rock band MezMer at 7:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the Northwest Arena and the Rock-N-Country Oasis.

The Fair Office will also be open on July 23rd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the 4H Building will be open so people can pick up their exhibits. Details: info@montgomerycountyfair.org


Buy a brick and make a mark

Make your permanent mark on NCHS and help support the North Callaway Booster Club. Purchase a brick that will be used to finish the wall of the old AG building that is being renovated into new practice facilities, locker room and bathrooms. The garage door will be removed and new wall built and finished with brick purchased by our generous supporters.
