2017 Celebrating Central Missouri Athletics Live Auction catalog now online

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The 17th Annual Celebrating Central Missouri Athletics Auction and Dinner is less than two weeks away and now you can get a glimpse of the items that will be in the live auction portion of the evening.
The live auction catalog is now available by clicking the "Live Auction Catalog" link above or by browsing the interactive catalog below. The live auction contains 38 items this year. Items range from UCM "Coach for a Day" opportunities, radio advertising, Mizzou, Chiefs and NBA tickets, a Kansas City Chiefs VIP weekend, vacation getaways and much more.
The auction is set for next Friday, August 11 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Cost of the auction and dinner is $75 per person or $600 for a table of eight. Auction attendees will have the chance to bid on silent auction items, through the mobile-bidding process, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A Traeger-smoked prime rib, and Traeger-smoked maple glazed turkey breast buffet dinner will go from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with the live auction getting underway at 7:45 p.m.


Soccer Officially Begins Preseason Camp

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri women's soccer officially opened preseason camp at Houck Field.
The day consisted of fitness testing and drills in the morning and the first full team training session of the season in the afternoon.
Southeast's roster consists of 25 student-athletes in 2017 including 17 returners, nine of which were regular starters in 2016. Notable players back in 2017 are senior goalkeeper Kindra Lierz and 2016 Second Team All-OVC/All-Newcomer Team midfielder Esmie Gonzales.
The roster features eight newcomers, six of which are true freshmen with the other two coming from other institutions.
SEMO will host Central Arkansas in its lone exhibition match of the preseason on Friday, Aug. 11 at Houck Field. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. against the Bears. 
The season opener will be on the road at the University of Evansville Aug. 18. The home opener will be that Sunday, Aug. 20, against Illinois Springfield. Three of SEMO's first four matches will be played at home.



Marshall, Mo. (August 3, 2017)- The Missouri Valley College women’s volleyball team has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association for its academic success during the 2016-17 academic year.  The women’s program earned the 2016-2017 AVCA Team Academic Award.

The Viking women’s volleyball program finished with an overall team GPA of 3.39, and was just one of 51 programs in the NAIA, and seven from the Heart of America Athletic Conference, to earn recognition from the AVCA.  This is the second academic award for the team, after also receiving the NAIA Scholar Team award earlier this month.  The women’s volleyball program has earned the AVCA Team Academic award in each of Head Coach Brett Holt’s five years leading the program.

The 2017-18 women’s volleyball season opens Aug. 18-19 at the Forester Invitational at Huntington (Ind.) University.  The first home matches take place Aug. 25-26 with the Viking Invitational.
