Dolores H. Forck, 88, formerly of Mexico, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 05, 2017, at Summit Villa in Holts Summit. She was born November 18, 1928, in Jefferson City, the youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Lock) Struempf. On October 15, 1949 she was united in marriage to Luke G. Forck in Jefferson City, who preceded her in death on August 20, 2006.

Dolores graduated from St. Peter High School in Jefferson City and worked as a bookkeeper at the Pontiac Dealership in Downtown Jefferson City. She was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Mexico, Missouri and a member of the Ladies Sodality. Dolores felt all life was precious and was strong supporter of 40 Days For Life. She was a great bridge player and enjoyed gardening, crafts, and loved it when her grandchildren and nieces and nephews would visit her.

She is survived by her son: Michael D. Forck (Kathy) of New Bloomfield; grandchildren: Michael Thebo, Ivy Almon (David), John Thebo, Mary Clark (Doug); great-grandchildren: Bryce Thebo, Taylor Byce, Christian, Alyssa and Paityn Almon, Caden, Elijah and Evan Clark; sisters-in-law: Mary Anne Kolb of Jefferson City, Sister Rose Mary Forck and Sister Bernadette Forck of San Antonio, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Luke, and siblings: Arthur Struempf (Leona), Francis Struempf (Frances), Herbert Struempf (Juanita), Viola Johnson (Fred), and Mary Bassmann (Lewis); brothers and sisters-in-law: Jerome Forck (Beatrice), Sister Mary Rose Forck, Mark Forck (Doris), and Charles Kolb.

Family and friends were received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. today, August 9, 2017, St. Andrew Catholic Church in Holts Summit, with Fr. Joseph Corel officiating. A luncheon will be served and Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Andrew Pro Life/40 Days For Life.
