In the second of three-straight varsity volleyball road matches, Montgomery County did all the little things right on Thursday in Eastern Missouri Conference action at Wright City on its way to winning, 25-21, 25-20.

"We played well last night. We had better attitudes and were able to control the game," said coach Rachel Leu. "I felt that our communication was the best it's ever been, which is why we were able to play well."

Helping the Lady Wildcats usher in this hard-fought victory was Paige Oden with 15 assists, four kills and four aces, Hailey Hill had six kills and Kayla Schmidt added six kills.

Montgomery County, 4-6 overall, 3-2 EMO, is at the Hermann Tournament Sept. 18-21.
