In Eastern Missouri Conference competition last Friday, the Van-Far varsity football team was looking to get back to it's winning ways at Wright City after starting the season with three-straight wins and then losing a close home game last week to Bowling Green 43-38.

When Wright City then came out and went up 28-10 at halftime, the Indians simply couldn't keep from getting outscored 21-0 in the third quarter to lose 49-16.

Even though Van-Far, which is a combined effort with Community R-6, did get the better of Wright City 6-0 in the fourth, it also deadlocked at 7-7 in the first.

The Indians, 3-2 overall, are now the 278th ranked team in the state according to and hosts Clopton/Elsberry for a league game on Friday.
