Once again the North Callaway varsity girl's softball team put the rest of the Eastern Missouri Conference on notice at Silex on Thursday.
Delivering this message for the Ladybird's was Kenzie Ausfahl, who allowed no hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts to help lead her team to an 11-0 victory in five innings.
The rest of the team also had quite a night and were leading 5-0 in the second inning and 9-0 in the third before scoring a run each in the fourth and fifth on eight hits.
Bolstering the efforts of everyone else by going 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs, two RBI and a walk was Kallie Jo Lehenbauer. Hanna Knipp also made her presence felt for North Callaway with two hits, two walks and one RBI in two at-bats.
"Kenzie (Ausfahl) was really hitting her spots and Kallie Jo (Lehenbauer) had an awesome day at the plate," said coach Brandi Thomsen.
With the loss Silex fell to 8-5 overall, 4-4 NCMC.
The Ladybird's, 12-3 overall, 8-0 NCMC, was at the Centralia Invitational on Saturday.
