In a non-league varsity volleyball matchup on Tuesday, Paige Oden had 18 assists for Eastern Missouri Conference member Montgomery County when it hosted Clarence Cannon Conference rival Centralia.

Makenna Meyer put up four aces and Kristin Koch threw down four kills, as well, all of which added up to an upset victory for the Lady Wildcats, 25-22, 25-16.

"We played well (Tuesday) night. I feel like the team is finally playing to their potential," said Montgomery County coach Rachel Leu. "After losing a close match to Centralia last time we played, I was proud of how the girls responded tonight."

Kayla Schmidt also helped her team raise its' record to 5-9 overall with five digs, four kills and two aces and Hailey Hill had six kills, six digs and two aces.

Centralia is at Father Tolton on Oct. 10.

The Lady Wildcats, 4-2 EMO, are at Hallsville on Monday.
