Missouri Military Academy and Mexico High School sponsored the second annual college fair Thursday morning at MHS.

According to Ayanna Shivers, director of college placement and counseling at MMA, there were approximately 30-35 colleges present at the event. College and universities and branches of the military had representatives providing information on their schools.

Shivers said it was nice to have both schools work together on the event. "It is nice to have collaboration from the two schools," she said. Shivers and Mark Holman, guidance at MHS, worked together on the event.

Area colleges and universities throughout the state were present. Shivers said the school traveling the farthest was the New Mexico Military Institute.

In addition to visiting with representatives from the schools, there were breakout sessions including one on how to pay for college.
