Gary P. Albrecht, 69, of rural Martinsburg, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital – Audrain in Mexico.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, at the Reach Church in Montgomery City.

Gary was born March 8, 1948 in St. Louis, the son of Robert and Gloria (Stiller) Albrecht. He graduated from McCluer High School in St. Louis and then obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas.

On August 30, 1972 in Overland Park, Kansas, he married Joyce Abrahams. She preceded him in death in April 2011. He then married Charlene Herron Tiffany on June 27, 2015 in Mexico. She survives.

Mr. Albrecht was a salesman for The Holland Grill and had previously worked for Traeger. He was a member of Reach Church in Montgomery City, where he played the bass guitar on the Worship Team, helped with the youth groups and with Feeding MoCo. Gary was very active with Gideons International.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Albrecht of the home; two sons, Chris (Jessica) Albrecht and Keith (Michelle) Albrecht, all of O’Fallon; five grandchildren, Jacob, Ellanora, and Mary Claire Albrecht, and Alexandria and Abigail Albrecht; and one sister, Susan (Larry) Jackson of Creve Coeur.

Gary was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce.
