Little Dixie Fire Protection District Station 1 was dispatched to a structure fire, clothes dryer fire Saturday, January 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the 19000 block of Audrain Road 9306, west of Mexico .Upon arrival fire fighters found a 14 X 70 residential house with minor smoke coming from the residence. According to a report from Little Dixie Chief Ken Hoover, firefighters conducted a search to the structure and found a faulty electrical outlet at the dryer location. No fire was found at that time. Firefighters checked the breaker box and found no problems. The owners were advised to contact an electrician and to replace the outlet.

The house received no fire and smoke damage. The family was home at the time the fire started.

According to Hoover, the cause of the fire is an electrical short.

Little Dixie units cleared the scene at 7:58 p.m.

Little Dixie Station 1 responded to the emergency with a total of five fire fighters and one piece of fire apparatus.

There were no other injuries or damage.

Little Dixie Fire Protection District Station 1 was dispatched to a structure fire, at 556 Oak Street at the Mike Taylor property in Rush Hill, at 8:23 a.m. Sunday. Mike Taylor is the owner and Jewelya Pehle is renting the house.

Upon arrival firefighters found a single-story residential house with smoke coming from the attic and first floor of the residence.

Firefighters conducted an attack to the attic area of the structure and found a small amount of smoldering insulation and some of the flooring on fire. Firefighters also found electrical wiring that had shorted out and thus causing the fire.

The owners were advised to contact an electrician before turning the main breaker back on.

The house received minor fire and smoke damage. The family was home at the time the fire started.

The cause of the fire was an electrical short.

Little Dixie units cleared the scene at 09:41 hours

Little Dixie Station one responded to the emergency with a total of 16 fire fighters and three piece of fire apparatus. Station 4 assisted with one tanker

There were no other injuries or damage.
