TUCSON, AZ – William C. Armstrong, 89, Tucson, AZ (formerly of Mexico, MO) passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home in Tucson, AZ.

He was born August 17, 1928 in Lewistown, MO the son of Walter C. and Elizabeth (Stout) Armstrong.

On June 6, 1954 he married Betty Laughlin in Stanberry, MO. She survives of the home.

William served in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He worked as a telegrapher for the railroad for 20 years and retired from 3M Corporation after 17 years. He was also a member of the Oro Valley Nazarene Church in Tucson, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William C. Armstrong, Jr.; and great grandson, Haddon Brooks Blanco.

William is also survived by his daughter, Shari Starke, Tucson, AZ; son, Michael Armstrong, Kansas City, MO; 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 9 at the Stanberry United Methodist Church, Stanberry, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO.
