Even though the schedule said Hallsville Triangular, trackwrestling.com only had one result for the Centralia varsity wrestling team on Jan. 23 and that was for a dual meet against Clarence Cannon Conference rival Macon.

Lasy season the Panthers defeated Macon handily, so the fact it defeated the Tigers this time around 66-12 is not a surprise. Highlights included Wins by fall for AJ Hombs at 113 over Mary Belle Harrell in 5:09, Duke Newsted at 132 beat Macon's Brenna Moots in 4:59 and at 152 Centralia's Grafton Litrell topped Dantae Magruder in :51.

Hunter Phillips also pinned the Tigers Dominick Mitchell in 3:13 at 160, at 170 Lakota Phillips downed Macon's Augustus Davis in 1:30 and the Panthers Trevor Bodine at 195 beat Shane Levett in 3:33. Centralia won by forfiet at 126, 138, 145, 182 and 220 and lost by forfeit at 285 and 106, as well.

The Panthers are at the First Annual Highway 13 Showdown on on Saturday.
