For all the ups and downs the Paris varsity boys basketball team has had this season, all it really wanted was a chance to shine.

On Tuesday at Marion County in non-conference competition after what probably felt like far too many frustrations the Coyotes finally got that opportunity and took full advantage as Konnor Heitmeyer set the tone with 21 points, eight assists, five steals and three rebounds to help Paris win 69-39.

Brett Miller also helped this team conquer its fears with 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and a steal, Chris Ebbesmeyer and Adam Forrest scored nine each with a combined six asssists, four rebounds and two steals and Blake Turner had eight points, eight boards, one assist and one steal. Ryan Ragsdale also came through with seven points, eight rebounds and one assist, Reese Barton had a three rebound, one steal showing and Ethen Chapman chipped in with a rebound.

For the game Paris had 38 rebounds, 24 assists, 10 steals and a blcok.

The Coyotes, 3-16 overall, 0-5 Lewis and Clark, is at Knox County on Friday.
