Last Friday the Missouri Military Academy varsity wrestling team had three guests, two rounds and one mat.

The first round consisted of the Fighting Colonels vs Mexico, which the Bulldogs won 71-12, and Moberly defeating Palmyra 60-18. The second round then featured Mexico downing Palmyra and MMA falling to the Spartans 66-12.

While MMA's results against the Bulldogs were on page six of the Monday Mexico Ledger, as for its dual against Moberly, highlights included Wrayvous Givens winning by fall at 145 against Jacob Fisher in 5:59 at 145 and Luis Garzon won by void at 120. This turned out to be a rather tough event for the Colonels against much bigger schools and also featured heavyweight Sky Spotted Eagle Thunderchild Henio losing by fall to the Spartans Johnathan Chapman in :56.

Ayden Garcia also fell at 182 for MMA against Kyler Guthrie in :45, Styles Fountain was defeated at 138 by Tristan Morris of Moberly in 4:27 and at 113 the Spartans Deshaun Smith bested Richard Choy in :58.

Districts begin this weekend.
