The Community R-6 varsity boys basketball team played a good first half at North Shelby on Monday.

It's was after halftime when it had issues, especially on defense, which led to the team falling in non-conference action 59-51.

Flying high for the Trojans with 26 points was Bobby Jett with 26 points, Cordell Hollensteiner backed him up by scoring 15 and Blaze Escamilla made a six point contribution. Eric Hombs also made a three point contribution and scoring a point was Jaryn Kuda.

The middle of this game was different from the beginning and end in that CR-6 outscored its host 13-12 in the second quarter and 11-9 in the third, but got outscored 17-14 in the first and 21-13 in the fourth.

The Trojans, 8-15 overall, travel to Mark Twain on Friday for an Eastern Missouri Conference game.
