Martha Lou Young Neal, 87, of Mexico, passed away August 2, 2018 at her home.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.

Martha was born June 5, 1931 in Vandalia, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Graves) Goodheart.

Martha married John Douglas in 1950 and moved to Mexico in 1970, and they had six children. John Douglas preceded her in death.

On June 25, 1992 Martha was united in marriage to James Michael Neal who lives at the home.

She worked as a nurse aide in local nursing homes and in home health care until her retirement in 2010. Martha enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She also enjoyed country music, dancing, and going to the gambling boat. She loved birds, especially canaries, soap operas and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include her husband, John Micheal Neal of Mexico; two daughters, Vickie Young and Janet (Don) Marking, all of Mexico; three sons, Roy Young and Paul Young, both of Mexico, and Jeff Young of Stoutsville; four grandsons, Jason Young, Jeremy Young, both of Mexico, Phillip Young of state of Florida, and Doug Young of Paris, two grand daughters; Kara Clovis of Mexico and Jessica Barkwell of Fulton; and some siblings.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Charles Young, some siblings, and one granddaughter Kayla.
