A woman charged with drug trafficking in the July 2017 death of a Columbia man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Audrain County prosecutor's originally charged 40-year-old Arline Diedrich, of St. Ann, with second-degree murder in the death Leon Wilder III. That charge and a charge of first-degree robbery were dropped at a sentencing hearing Aug. 24 before circuit judge Wesley Dalton.

Justin Traughber, 38, of Columbia, also pleaded guilty to second-degree drug trafficking in Wilder’s death in July. A sentencing hearing is set for Sept. 28 in his case.

Richard Henry Jr., 39, of Overland, is charged with first-degree murder also related to the death of Wilder. A trial date for Henry is pending.

Authorities believe the three suspects arranged a methamphetamine deal with Wilder at the Welcome Inn in Columbia, then forced him into a truck at gunpoint. A passerby found Wilder on July 6, 2017, along Audrain County Road 997, near the Centralia Battlefield.

According to authorities, the murder took place within a few hundred feet of where Wilder’s body was found and they have probable cause to believe Henry pulled the trigger.
